223. Anthea Sylbert costume Design Sketch for Jack Nicholson in Chinatown. (Paramount, 1974) Original costume design sketch on artist's illustration board accomplished in gouache and ink measuring 15 in. x 20 in. with two small fabric swatches. Featuring Jack Nicholson as "J.J. 'Jake' Gittes" wearing a suit with a plaid jacket, brown shoes, hat and a yellow tie with red dots. Handwritten "Chinatown, Gittes, SC 136-185 and 187-202" at lower left corner. Appx. ½ in. – 1 in. soiling around the entire border. $800 - $1,200
