 277. Wooden plug and timbering from Lord Horatio Nelson's stateroom on H.M.S. Victory—Nelson's flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar. The wooden plug (used to seal leaks) measures 2 3/8 in. in diameter x 2 7/8 in. long. The piece of timbering measures 5 in. long. These artifacts were presented to Star Trek feature film producer Harve Bennett by his friend Sir John Fieldhouse, 1st Sea Lord Royal Navy, in Plymouth, England in April 1976.
