283. Nibbles and Me signed by Elizabeth Taylor. Duell, Sloan and Pearce, New York, 1946, 77 pp, first edition. Written by the then 13 year old star of National Velvet, this is the story of a pet squirrel written and illustrated by and given to a teen age Harve Bennett during an interview he did with Taylor for the Chicago Times. Inscribed by Taylor in ink, "To Harve – Best wishes always Nibbles & I (ha, ha) Elizabeth Taylor". On the title page, Taylor has stricken through the "Me" in the title using pencil and changed to "I". Original dust jacket is present, but exhibits chipping and tears with tape repairs. $200 - $300
