Marlon Brando Army coat from Apocalypse Now

322. Marlon Brando "Colonel Kurtz" Tropical Army Coat from Apocalypse Now. (UA, 1979) The olive drab military-issue coat is adorned with ten patches, including "Airborne" and "Ranger" and the requisite "Kurtz" and "U.S. Army" patches. This coat is seen at the end of the film when Martin Sheen, as "Captain Benjamin L. Willard", finally reaches Kurtz and stumbles across some of the Colonel's old military accoutrements including this jacket, which can be seen hanging on a wall under a beret. Also included is a photocopied script from the film signed by screenwriter John Milius who was on location throughout the filming and kept this coat as a souvenir.
