443. Original stop-motion Slave puppet from Tales from the Hood. (Savoy Pictures, 1995) This stop-motion slave doll puppet is from Spike Lee's Tales from the Hood and is the featured character in the segment starring Corbin Bernsen who portrays Duke Metger, a white supremacist that gets his comeuppance. It stands approximately 10 in. tall and it contains a steel ball and socket armature and a mount for the external support rig. All seventeen heads are cast in a hard urethane resin material and the hands and feet are cast in foam latex. The wardrobe is hand-made and is rubberized for animation purposes. The replacement heads are the various expressions and stages of destruction the character goes through in the segment. The character was sculpted by Stephen Chiodo, painted by Charles Chiodo and the armature was assembled by Edward Chiodo, collectively know as the Chiodo Bros. Comes with a letter of authenticity from Edward Chiodo. $6,000 - $8,000
