C8145a; C8146a; C8147a    1; 5; 10 Cents    ND (ca. World War II)  THREE CHITS with 2 Dollars booklet detached front cover (with expiration February 28 1946), inside page, and back cover.  According to Campbell, Fort Niagara opened in October 1944 and closed in January 1946 with a peak population of 1518 German POWs.  Card colors are 1 Cent salmon; 5 Cents very light orange; 10 Cents gray.  Print in blue.  The print color changes, but the card color stays the same for each set we offer in this and the next two lots.
