Blue and White Stoneware Covered Stein and Mug Attributed to White's of Utica, N.Y., stein round form with raised decoration depicting three men at tavern drinking, opposing side with German text in oval panel, fish scale and geometric patterns, pewter-like metal floral decorated domed lid with hinged attachment to handle, stamped "35" on base, mug with bulbous form with handle, stamp "41", on base, raised decoration depicting men and woman with cards and on opposing side paneled with German text, at bottom rim stamped "Richard Briggs Co. Boston.", both white ground with cobalt blue highlights, , 4-3/4"h. x 4"dia., 6-1/2"h. x 3"dia., (stein with break to lid).
