Mixed wood transitional case with cherry, birdseye maple and mahogany. Broken arch pediment with glass rosettes over an arched door, four column front, waist section with turned columns and chipped carved terminations flanking a waist door of birdseye maple and mahogany. Conforming base resting on turned, tapered feet. Painted dial with moonphase inscribed, "George Hagey, Trappe". Second and calender dial. Eight-day movement. 92 1/2"t. x 20 1/2"w. x 11"d. ***Maker: Benjamin S. Alderfer, Lower Salford Township, Montgomery County, one of three tall case clocks made for George Hagey.
