A French carriage timepiece, early 20th century, the 2½ inch white enamel dial with ring of Roman numerals, the brass case with serpentine mounts to the front, sides and back, with fluted square half columns to each corner, on short turned feet, numbered to the base '53', marked 'Made in France' to the back plate, the key numbered '1842', 11.5cm high
