Blackwood & Sons, 1884. Approximately 38 hand colored lithographic plates by W. Richardson, James Blake & others, green half morocco covers, marbleized end papers raised gilt decorated spines. The first edition of one of the great British works on pine trees, many varieties depicted. See pg. 37 of Vol.I, the Pinus Insignus at Mendocino, California. Over all 22 1/2 in. by 171/2 in.
