A JAPANESE ABUMI (HORSE STIRRUP), Meiji Period. The iron swan-shaped stirrup having traces of silvered inlay in a repeating small circular design, ending with pierced buckle-like attachment for saddle. The interior base comprised of red cinnabar. 11-1/2" L. by 10" H.
Condition report681: Showing wear consistent with age; enamel shows some loss and cracking.
