Rare 1804 Accounting of the Chelsea (MA) Bridge Tolls 1804, Partially-Printed Document, Daily Account Of Tolls Collected At Chelsea Bridge, Massachusetts, also 1882 Chelsea Permit to Remove a Body for Burial, Both Choice Very Fine. 1. This original document headed, "Daily Account Of Tolls Received By .... At Chelsea Bridge," measuring 7.5" x 12," records in chart form the number of tolls received in different categories on Sunday February 26, 1804. The fares range from 1 cent each for sheep or swine, 2 cents for a pedestrian, up to 25 cents for a coach or wagon. This document is in excellent condition, with one .25" margin tear on the top left. 2. The second partially-printed 6.5" x 8.25" document, headed, "The City Clerks Office, City Hall," is dated July 24, 1882, and authorizes Henry Noyes to remove the remains of Susan Kimball, who died 2 days earlier, to Northfield, Vermont for burial. Aside from some folds, this unusual document is in excellent condition. Two historic Chelsea, MA documents in very nice condition.
