Civil War "Bounty" Receipt for Two Union Soldiers

August 30, 1864, "Bounty" Receipt for Two Union Soldiers, Genesee, NY, Choice Very Fine.
4.26" x 7.75", fine-laid, blue-lined cut paper. Written and signed by "Peter C. Garrett" in clear, brown ink: "Received of John W. Brown member of Genesee Co. Bounty Committee eight hundred dollars which I have paid over to the Provost Marshall at Lockport for Bounty to James Jones and Charles Huntington." Verso has small notation that Jones and Huntington were paid. Lightly toned paper with two horizontal creases, cut edges top and bottom.
