c. 1860, "BRIG. GEN. A.E. BURNSIDE", Printed by G.P. Putnam, New York, Extremely Fine.
9.25" x 6" uncolored engraving of Brigadier General A.E. Burnside, most likely clipped from a publication, undated. Very light dampstaining, hardly noticeable. Burnside was the Union major general who allowed Lee's escape at Antietam and, as head of the Army of the Potomac, saw it crushed at Fredericksburg.
