Print: "WASHINGTON," Published by Cadart & Luce, Paris, France, Extremely Fine.
5" x 4" uncolored engraving on 12.25" x 10.2" heavy paper. Most likely an artists' proof, number "61" in the upper right corner. Engraved by J.L. Brown, featuring George Washington on horseback, striking a noble pose, looking off into the distance. A stylized treatment of the general which is expertly rendered, although the profile somewhat exaggerates Washington's nose. Toning and soiling to margins.
