c. 1835-1899, Assorted New England Publications Featuring Historic Buildings and Genealogy, Lot of 3, Fine-Very Fine. This fascinating assortment of historic publications is chock full of vintage photos, engravings, advertisements, stories, and biographies from the Boston and New England area. The lot includes: 1. "The Thayer Family Memorial," a cloth hardbound volume containing Part I and Part II of the "Genealogy of Fourteen Families of Early Settlers of New England," and "Genealogy of Ephraim and Sarah Thayer," Printed by J. Farmer, Hingham, MA, 1835. Two volumes in one, being over 280 pages all together--including genealogy on the Alden, Adams, Bass, Billings, and French families, in addition to Thayer and 8 other families. The detailed volume's spine is broken and the final 50 pages are separated. The pages are foxed and soiled, but the text is very legible. 2. "The Hingham Magazine," printed by George Ellis, Boston, MA, 1898. Soft cover magazine, over 75 pages, with numerous black and white photo plates, wonderful engravings, advertisements, editorials, and extensive stories. Loose binding, held together with tape, and some separated pages, but overall fine. 3. "The Dorchester Book, Illustrated," Published by the Branch Alliance of Christ Church Unitarian, Dorchester, MA, 1899. This soft-cover magazine has over 70 pages, and extensive historical information, photos and engravings--a must for a museum or collectors of Boston memorabilia.
