Wonderful 19th century fauteuil, original needlepoint with figural elements, diminutive size of 24h x 13w with the seat at approx. 10 inches from the floor. One replaced leg, otherwise good and at least 19th century in age. Good early period construction utilizing pegs at the mortised joints. Constructed from an unknown wood that has the look of oak.
Condition reportOne replaced leg, scattered chips and minor separations, a wood knot on one arm support creates what appears to be a hole or chip..
