Classic 1950 Hollycraft beautiful brooch and matching screw back earrings. Each on antiqued Russian gold plated base metal set with the foil backed pastel rhinestones Hollycraft is famous for. Because Hollycraft marked nearly every piece or set with the date, this costume jewelry is very collectible and highly sought after. The back of one earring on this demi-parure has the 1950 date and Hollycraft Hallmark. Hollycraft was founded in 1938 and continued making quality costume jewelry until the mid-1970s. Brooch is missing 3 very tiny stones, not noticible and earrings are perfect. Brooch measures 1.50" and the earrings a little over 1".Collectible Costume Jewelry pg 53 by Cherri Simonds 1997Costume Jewelry 101 2nd Edition pg 203 by Julia Carroll 2008 ... includes certificate that this lot came from the Estate of Louise Mondani Graham, owner of the Brass Bugle Antique Barn in Cornwall Bridge CT.
