A WWII Mexican Sterling flower brooch , marked "Parisina" and Sterling, Mexico. Parisina was the mark for the wartime Mexican Sterling jewellery by Marcel Boucher.The brooch measures 2.25 inches high and 2 inches wide. The pin and clasp are a harder metal than sterling and are in good condition c. 1940. This has had only a superficial cleaning.Boucher is noted in Bille Hougart's book on Mexican Silver Hallmarks, and provides the following information. Marcel Boucher originally worked with Cartier and designed for Mazer Brothers early in his career. The hallmark PARISINA is what was used on his Mexican made items. ... includes certificate that this lot came from the Estate of Louise Mondani Graham, owner of the Brass Bugle Antique Barn in Cornwall Bridge CT.
