From the Fabulous Fifties, this is a 18k yellow gold bow style brooch with a bezel set blue spinel in the center. The brooch is approximately 2 5/8 in length and 1 3/4 wide. The brooch is stamped 18ct, which leads us to believe this is European, has a stylized star texture finish with a high polish interior and weighs 11.70 grams. The synthetic spinel is approximately 9.90mmx6.50mm, intene sky blue color and has no visible inclusions.Accompanied by a Appraisal Certicate from Harrison Newsome Jewelers ... includes certificate that this lot came from the Estate of Louise Mondani Graham, owner of the Brass Bugle Antique Barn in Cornwall Bridge CT.
