Alaskan Mastadon Mammoth scrimshaw carving measuring 2.75X2". This was made for P.E. Kerns Indian Curio Shop in Skagway, Alaska that P.E. Kern operated from 1896 to 1913. This was made from a Mastodon Mammoth Tusk found at Dawson. Made specifically for P.E. Kern's shop, which is clearly etched on the side. A real bit of American Northwest Territory History. ... includes certificate that this lot came from the Estate of Louise Mondani Graham, owner of the Brass Bugle Antique Barn in Cornwall Bridge CT.
