Big Decorative 1850s Sterling Tiffany & Co Raised B

Presented is an old, large, Sterling Silver raised bowl made by Grosjean & Woodward for Tiffany & Company in the 1850s. This ornate piece is highly decorated along the border of the bowl with a ruffled, gadrooned design above hand chased leaf designs. The stem of the piece has a beautiful beaded band design around the middle and stippled leaf patterns above and below. The bottom of the bowl is marked with the Tiffany hallmark that was used in the 1850s and Sterling. There is an old monogram of the letters H.P.C. in script on the side of the bowl. The bowl measures 8 1/2 inches in diameter, is 7 3/4 inches tall and weighs 760 grams or 24.4 troy ounces.
