JAMES G. BLAINE, Secretary of State under Garfield, Arthur, and Harrison; Republican Candidate for President, 1884.
Card Signed, "James G. Blaine," in brown ink, no date, 2" x 3.5" card, Choice Mint. The signature measures over 2.5", and has an underline beneath it. A strong example.

James Gillespie Blaine (1830–1893) served in the U.S. House of Representatives (1863–1876) and as U.S. Senator from Maine (1876–1881). He was Secretary of State (1881 & 1889–1892) and ran for President in 1884, losing the election to Democrat Grover Cleveland.
