Vivid Colored Currier Print of "Washington's Reception..."

1845 Nathaniel Currier Print, "WASHINGTON'S RECEPTION BY THE LADIES," New York, Very Fine.
This beautifully colored print measures 13.75" x 10.5" and is a highly detailed depiction of George Washington's historic passing over the bridge at Trenton, New Jersey, in April 1789, "On His Way To New York To Be Inaugurated First President Of The United States." Vivid hand-colored tones of green, blue, yellow and red enhance this attractive, early Currier & Ives print. It is trimmed slightly close at top with some small edge splits and some paper remnants stuck along the bottom edge (easily remedied by proper matting and framing).
