Captain Warrington Captures the British Sloop "Epervier" October 10, 1814, "Letter From the Secretary of the Navy, Transmitting the Official Account of the Capture of the British Sloop of War Epervier by the United States' Sloop Peacock...," Printed by Roger C. Weightman, Washington City, Choice Extremely Fine. Pamphlet, 8 pages, 8.25" x 5", disbound, separated along the spine. This letter is an "Official Account of the Capture of the British Sloop Peacock, Commanded by Captain Lewis Warrington, on the Twenty-Ninth April Last." It reads in part: "Sir, I have the honor to inform you, that we have this morning captured, after an action of forty-two minutes, his majesty's brig Epervier, rating and mount 18 thirty-two pound carronades..."
