Rare Metal Canteen with Painted Flower Sunburst

c. 1820, Original Metal Canteen with Painted Flower/Sunburst, Choice Very Fine.
Round canteen, 6" in diameter, 2.75" thick, with original metal carrying hoops, absent cap or cork. Painted olive green and crimson red trim, accentuated by a pale yellow flower/sunburst on front. 100% original paint, with very little chipping or dents. An extremely rare item--in superb, museum quality condition!
