c. 1862, Prints of Two Civil War Naval Battles, Lot of 2, Very Fine.
Uncolored engraved images are approximately 4.5" x 7" on pages 6" x 9.25."
1. "THE MONITOR AT WORK ON THE MERRIMAC (OR VIRGINIA)" by N. Orr & Co. Very minor toning.
2. "CAPTURE OF FORTS JACKSON & ST. PHILLIP," engraved by George Perine, drawn by C. Parsons, printed by Hurlbut, WIlliams & Co., CT. Moderate foxing and toning, crimping along bottom margin, not affecting image. Very dramatic, crisp prints of these important naval battles.
