Civil War Prints
"FAMOUS UNION BATTLE-FLAGS" and Assorted Civil War Prints, Lot of 3, Choice Very Fine.
1. Uncolored print: "INTERVIEW BETWEEN SHERMAN & JOHNSON," no date or printer, 5.5" x 8.75" image on 6.2" x 9.75" page, slight foxing--featuring a meeting between these CSA and Union generals.
2. "FAMOUS UNION BATTLE-FLAGS," chromolithograph plate, 7" x 4.5" image on 9.25" x 5.8" sheet, Published by A.D. Worthington & Co., Hartford, CT, featuring six battle-flags from the 13th Illinois Regt., 24th Michigan Regt., 8th Missouri Regt., 1st Minnesota Artillery, 2nd Michigan Regt., and the 7th New York Heavy Artillery, clipped from Mary A. Livermore's "My Story of the War," which reflects her personal experiences as a field and hospital nurse in the Union Army. Includes a caption along the side. Slightly toned and partially soiled along margins.
3. "A CAVALRY CHARGE DURING THE CIVIL WAR," no date or publisher, full-color print, 7.25" x 5" image on 9" x 5.75" sheet, depicting the horrors of men and horses charging into a stand of infantrymen on the battlefield. (3 prints)
