Abraham Lincoln Vignette Campaign Postal Cover

1860, Abraham Lincoln Presidential Campaign Envelope: "The People's Candidate Abraham Lincoln For President," Choice Very Fine.
A postal-used Lincoln campaign envelope addressed to a Miss Flora A. Hotchkiss of West Chester, CT and bears a beardless portrait of Lincoln surrounded by flags and topped with a liberty cap. The cover has been cancelled with a rimless Buffalo, N.Y. plug, September 19, 1860 postmark and matching grid over 3 cent stamp. The envelope bears a good strong imprint with some minor creasing and chipping to right margin. This specific example was pictured in the noted 2000 Nutmeg auction of the collection of Professor Jon E. Bischel. [References: Milgram AL-66; Ex. Walcott.]
