1848 Alabama Arrest Warrant Returning Two Slaves

1848 Arrest Warrant Demanding the Return of Two Slaves, Alabama, Very Fine.
This Partially-Printed Document measures 8" x 12" and is titled, "The State of Alabama - To any Sheriff in the State of Alabama - Greetings." It continues "You are hereby commanded, without delay, to take Anthony A. Sterrett, agent for Bigelow & Griffin... if be found in your county... and there to answer John McHill of a plea that he renders to him a man, Aaron, a negro slave of the value of six hundred dollars & Bob alias Robert a negro boy slave of the value of four hundred and fifty which belong to said plaintiff." There is some edge wear to the left side, but overall quite nicely preserved. A rare official State document.
