c. 1880 Print: "Franklin Pierce," by Bureau of Engraving & Printing, Washington, D.C., Choice Near Mint. Uncolored engraving, 4.75" x 3.8" inset onto 7.8" x 6" card. Crisply executed vignette bust of Pierce, with scrolly adornment beneath image. Evidently part of a series of print proofs by the Bureau of Engraving & Printing, which featured portraits of presidents, politicians, and government officials. Very clean overall.
