Landing Of Columbus 400th Anniversary Ribbon

1892, 400th Anniversary of the Landing Of Columbus, Very Fine.
7.5" x 2.5" multicolored silk ribbon features a central scene of Christopher Columbus landing in America, by "J.J. Mannion", Chicago, IL. Above: "1492 - 1892 / 400th ANNIVERSARY / IN COMMEMORATION / OF THE DISCOVERY OF / AMERICA 1492," in gold, brown, red and blue thread. Below: "Landing of Columbus / Oct 12th 1492" in blue thread, and an eagle, star-spangled, striped shield and banners, and the words, "And the Star Spangled Banner / O Long May It Wave / Oer the Land of the Free / And the Home of the Brave," in red and blue thread. This beautiful ribbon was issued during the 400th anniversary commemoration of Columbus's landing, and coincided with the World's Columbian Exposition which was held in 1893 in Chicago. Lightly toned ribbon, fringing on bottom, very colorful and crisp overall.
