New York, NY. The Union Bank in the City of New York. Five Dollars. Extremely Fine.
Haxby NY-1946-C50. This is a well executed contemporary counterfeit with the imprint of Leney & Rollinson at the bottom, engraved in the style of Amos Doolittle. Dated 1818, and fully signed. This "D" plate position note is way above average in condition and has a small ink errosion hole in the upper left field; overall bold and bright looking. A scarcer note, and in quite unusual high quality.
