Featuring a rare, double-sided unique pencil drawing by Toulouse-Lautrec on both sides of the sheet, Croquis is an incredibly whimsical and delightful work to behold. A series of four heads (têtes) grace the front and the verso, each unique and equally characteristic on their own. The fluidity of line mixed with Toulouse-Lautrec's artful and quirky sensibilities make way for comical, light-hearted, and fun mini-portraits.

This piece is framed to allow view of both sides.

Created in c. 1895, these unique pencil drawings feature one of Toulouse-Lautrec's prominent collectors' stamps, 'T.N.H.T.L' in the lower right, representing this work as coming from the collection of Madame Thadée Natanson, Paris (see provenance below) .
