c. 1850 Print: "THE PEOPLE OF WINCHESTER APPEALING TO WASHINGTON," Published by G.P. Putnam & Co., NY, Choice Very Fine. 4.25" x 6.5" uncolored vignette of Washington on horseback, holding a long rifle, and surrounded by a dozen people. Printed image on cardstock, 7.25" x 10.5," engraved by Darley and G.R. Hall, printed by W. Pate. Most likely pulled from a publication, as this appears to be part of a series of prints related to the life of Washington. Light, even toning; slight chipping along edges, not affecting image.
