Washington "Justice & Peace" TextileListed in "Threads of History"

1876, George Washington "Justice & Peace" Printed Ribbon Textile, Very Fine.
Ribbon style as listed for the 1876 Centennial, as found in the major reference, "Threads of History" by Herbert Collins, page 191. This colorful red and black ribbon measures 10.5" x 1.5" on bleached cotton fabric. It is printed with a wonderful repeated patriotic pattern showing three portrait medallions of George Washington and dated 1776 below his bust. A brown-colored leaf connects to a red shield, which encloses the word "PEACE" and shows the "Scales of Justice" in white above. Some fraying along the top and right irregular edge, affecting small portions of the center. Very scarce.
