Albumen Print of the Confederate Libby Prison, Richmond Va., by Brady & Gardner, Published by Taylor & Huntington, Hartford, CT, Very Fine.
This original sepia-toned albumen print is mounted on its original decorative 9" x 11" card It is from the "War for the Union Photographic History" series (#7557) with an explanatory caption at the bottom just below the image and also has a full list of other photos in the series which are available for purchase printed upon the back. This is a very clear image, with some trivial toning and wear along the outer cardstock margins. A great, historic large size Civil War image which is rarely encountered.
