Edward Everett on Slavery a Printed Congressional Speech February 8, 1854, Mr. Everett of Massachusetts' Printed Speech "ON THE NEBRASKA AND KANSAS TERRITORIAL BILL", Published by the Congressional Globe Office, Washington, Very Fine. This Printed Congressional Speech, 9.5" x 6", bound pamphlet, 14 pages, has a few frayed edges on the left hand side. Delivered to the United States Senate, Mr. Everett states: "What reference to the great question to slavery- that terrible question- the only one on which the North and the South of this great republic differ irreconcilable- I have not, on this occasion, a word to say... I believe the union of these States is the greatest possible blessing- that is comprises with itself all other blessings, political, national, and social.... I doubt not that in His own good time the Ruler of all will vindicate the most glorious of His prerogatives". Early American will accept payment by check or credit card.
