1918 Poster "Third Liberty Loan: The Facts" 1918 World War I, Broadside Poster, "Third Liberty Loan: The Facts," Choice Near Mint. This is an original, colorful, red, white and blue, 24" x 18" Poster, detailing the facts on buying and holding Third Liberty Loan Bonds. The government was asking for $3 Billion, with the Bonds bearing interest at 4.25% per annum. The bonds were issued in denominations from $50 to $100,000 and would be paid off by the government on September 15, 1928. Both the principal and interest were exempt federal income tax. A New York City union printer's logo appears in the bottom margin, along with the number "264." A most interesting historical document of the First World War, in excellent condition, aside from a 1.5" internal tear in the bottom left border, and minor rumpling of the two upper corners. This poster has been stored flat or rolled and had not been folded. A great item for collectors of Posters, Bonds, World War Items, or Fiscal History. Early American will accept payment by check or credit card. ImagesClick on thumbnails to see larger images:
