"Sound Money Alarm" & "Free Silver Coinage" Tornado 1895, Hand-Colored Political Cartoon, Titled: "Sounding The Tocsin," Drawn by C. J. Taylor, Referring to "Sound Money" and "Free Silver Coinage," Choice Extremely Fine. This original, hand-colored Political Cartoon, bearing the printed signature of the artist, C. J. Taylor, shows President Grover Cleveland ringing the "Sound Money Alarm" bell to warn of the approaching tornado, which is labeled "Free Silver Coinage." The rope which Cleveland is pulling is labeled "Cleveland's Letter to Citizens of Chicago." This great numismatic related Political Cartoon (print size approximately 10.5" x 9.5," with matte 13" x 11"), was published by Keppler & Schwarzmann, almost certainly in their famous New York political magazine, "Puck."
