Smith [I meant to write Stanley not Smith], Dalhousie, Heathfield, Sussex, who had also addressed me, & who I gather is particularly interested in the sale. She will doubtless forward you my letter if you wish... Mr Madan kindly sent me a copy of the photo some weeks ago. In reply I expressed a strong wish that the seal shd be independently photographed, but heard nothing in reply", on reverse copy of a letter from Galton to Miss Stanley regarding the use of fingerprinting as a form of identification, especially in relation to Cromwell as Lord Protector, folds.
