?first edition, presentation copy from the author to Desmond Harmsworth inscribed "To D.H. J.J. Paris, 7 iv 1931" in ink on title, errata slip tipped in at end, original printed pale green boards as usual but with "Price Two Shillings" label on lower cover, presumably mounted over printed "Price One Shilling", slightly browned at edges, spine very slightly chipped at head and foot, glacine wrapper with title and author traced in ink traced over letters on upper cover, very slightly chipped at head and foot of spine, [Slocum & Cahoon A24 but no mention of price label on lower cover], 16mo, Paris, Shakespeare & Company, 1927.
