Sigonius (Carolus) De Antiquo Iure Populi Romano Libri Unidecim,
title with large woodcut printer's Minerva device and contemporary ink ownership inscription, 4 folding 'Fragmentum' ff., worm traces to lower margins of R4-T3, affecting a few letters, but with no loss of sense, light water-staining to lower corner of all to E1, a few ff. foxed, attractive 18th century Remondini type paste paper patterned boards, upper joint starting, soiled, corners bumped, [Adams S1102], small folio, Bologna, apud Societatem Typographiae Bononien, 1574.

***On Roman Law. Contains the first edition of De Iudiciis Libri Tres. Provenance: contemporary ink ownership inscription to title "Ex Libris Pompei Herculani Sen: ris Bononiensis" The Herculani or Ercolani were one of the leading noble families of Bologna during the late 15th and early 16th centuries..
