[Moscow]: GIZ, 1931. 12 pp., 8vo (195 x 150 mm). Illustrated with color lithographs. Original decorative color wrappers. Condition: light rubbing at fold. Brei was a Moscow painter who studied with Nikolai Kupreyanov. He also illustrated children's books by Vladimir Mayakovsky, Agniya Barto and others. He was particularly good at drawing animals. These poems for children describe a journey of a large chimpanzee from Africa to the famous Sochi Zoo on the shore of the Black Sea.
