BULLA STUDIO in Leningrad, A. Gorshstein in Moscow and others. Collection of twenty-one photographs of Russian dancers and dances. Gelatin silver prints, 4 on exhibition mounts, a few with silver mirroring, some dated 1927 (various sizes). One early portrait of a prima ballerina in costume likely for Swan Lake bears the stamp of the famous Bulla Studio in Leningrad. A Constructivist-costumed duo appear in the Gernshtein photographs. Three others show an avant-garde ballet performed at the famous Opera and Ballet Theater in Odessa in 1926. Also included is one publicity picture of a production of Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade.
