DEBABOV, Dmitrii Georgevich (1901-1949). Factory workers. ca. 1930s. Mounted photograph (208 x 280 mm). Artist's stamp on verso. A compelling example of the 1930s ideal of "revolutionary romanticism," the corner stone of Socialist Realism, showing workers toiling at a foundry.
