GONCHAROVA, Nataliya Sergeevna (1881-1962) Pour la Première Fois à Paris. Lithograph (785 x 580 mm). 1924-1925. Initialed by the artist at center. A poster announcing a performance by "Théatre des Petits Comédiens de Bois de Julie Sazonova" with a Mayan inspired figure drawn by Goncharova. Sazonova founded the theater company advertised here in Petrograd in 1915 and was the author of many books on the history of ballet and an occasional contributor to the highly influential Russian Silver Age periodical Apollon.
