Along with Rodchenko, Klutsis, Senkin, Kulagina and Lissitzky, Boris Ignatovich is considered to be among the finest Soviet photographers. His social reportage contributed to the nurturing of a "new man" in post-revolutionary Russia and helped to foster the spirit of collectivism within the masses.
