Publishers green wrappers printed in red. Condition: restoration at margins to verso of wrappers, slight creasing and abrading at extremities; slight dampstaining to fore edge. collection of charming lithographs of the ancient town depicting both urban and pastoral scenes including several that capture the austere essence of the Russian winter. This village outside Moscow (renamed Zagorsk during the Soviet period) is internationally known for its magnificent fourteenth-century monastery, one of the holiest shrines in Russia. After working in Valentin Serov's studio, Iuon designed for the theater and became an art teacher.
