Kiev: Yidisher Folks Ferlag, 1919. 16 pp., 16mo (162 x 125 mm). With 10 illustrations by Lissitzky. Original wrappers designed by Lissitzky with integral illustration on each cover. Condition: overall toning; covers lightly soiled. first edition of this rare yiddish children's book illustrated by lissitzky. Another title in the "Kinder Gartn" series with loose, lithe line drawings with great child appeal. The Kultur-Liga in Warsaw reprinted this book in green and red in a slightly larger format in 1922. It is unusual to find a copy of any of these Yiddish books without the 1948 "withdrawn" stamps. Apter-Gabriel 92.
